The closing date for adding or amending entries relating to the Electoral Register is now 6th October 2006. If you wish to vote it is important to check your name and details are correctly entered on the Register in advance of that date.

It is apparent from a canvass of Friary Park (not quite finished!) that parents of children who attend Arbory School are very concerned that the children cannot walk safely to school from Ballabeg, because there are no Zebra or Pelican crossings along the Castletown Road. Clearly there has been a lot of dialogue with various Parties in the past and nothing has happened. At this time of the year, and with the elections looming, it is particularly important that everyone makes their voice heard.
If anyone would like to add anything regarding this matter feel free to do so.

I have been following recent developments at Derbyhaven with interest, not least because this dispute centres on an area of outstanding natural beauty and of course there are many such similar areas in the South that must be protected from over-development. I have now personally delivered leaflets around most of the Sheading, although there are a few qute large catchment areas that I have not yet visited, notably Clifton Road/Fistard Road, Glen Chass/The Howe, Cregneash, Tower Road/Honna Road and a section of Colby Main Road. Weather permitting, these areas will be visited by next weekend. As a follow-up to the leaflets, which in conjunction with this web-site are designed to give voters some background information about me, I will endeavour between now and the 23rd November to visit as many households and flats/apartments as possible.
I propose to begin the door-to-door canvassing from Ballabeg/Fisher’s Hill this week and sytematically work my way around each catchment area, gradually working South. Obviously it will be some weeks before I reach Port Erin/Port St Mary. If anyone would specifically like me to call at a particular time please let me know and I will try and oblige.
